Like most fans, I did watch the Kenneth Brannagh interpretation of this classic. How can I not?! And yes, it's kind of inspired by it when you see the gentlemen's uniforms. I thought I'd add my own manga and anime flair to the costume ball scene by having animal masks. I thought that was neat.

Since in some versions, Beatrice is known to be an adopted child, I designed her here based on a Bollywood actress. And signor Benedict based on a popular black actor.

Plus... I have a small cameo here in the form of the henchman named Borrachio. Look out for it! :)
