The Body Snatchers is one of those horror stories that I immediately liked as a new reader to the book. Game of Thrones was going on at the time and I did base one of the naughty young men on Joffrey Barratheon and the other reluctant accomplice on poor Frodo Baggins of #LOTR.

For their old mentor, I chose to base his appearance on Peter Cushing of the old Dracula and Hammer Horror movies.
